Greene King Visitor Centre

Brewery Tours

See how real beer is produced using natural ingredients and traditional brewing Greene King Brewhousemethods. A tour round our historic working brewhouse includes the best view of Bury St Edmunds from the roof (weather permitting). Start at the museum, tour the brewery and then taste the different beers in our Brewery Tap.

After your tasting, come back to our shop to purchase your gifts, souvenirs and cases of beers.

Our evening tour is a great way to start any celebration – birthday, retirement, stag or hen night!

Home-cooked hot and cold buffets are available for groups of 10 or more. We do advise that you telephone to check availability of daytime tours as these can sometimes be full. Evening tours and buffets must be pre-booked please.

Monday 11am, Tuesday 2pm, Wednesday – Friday 11am and 2pmMuseum Tours

Please note: Children under 12 are not permitted on the tour. 12-18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. We are unable to accommodate people with limited mobility. Sensible flat footwear is essential. Maximum number for all tours is 45 persons.

Visitor Centre - Shop and Museum
Our shop is open to the public, and offers an extensive array of brewing memorabilia and merchandise, souvenirs, gifts and clothing – as well as bottles and cans of all of our famous beers!

This is the ideal place to find that special gift or to treat yourself!

The Greene King museum charts the history and the heritage of the Visitor Centre, including information on the brands and the history of the brewing process.

Monday – Saturday 10.30am – 4.30pm


Entrance charges:
Entry to the shop and museum are free of charge. All under 18’s accompanied by an adult.

The Visitor Centre is fully wheelchair accessible and there is limited free parking (including disabled spaces) in front of the Visitor Centre.
