Popular local author, lecturer and historian, Robert Halliday will talk about the ghost stories inspired by Bury St. Edmunds and surrounding villages, as well as the supernatural influences that inspired these tales.

There will also be a rare opportunity to see the film 7 Women starring Anne Bancroft and based on a short story by local author Norah Lofts at a special screening by the Bury Film Society.

Two of historical fiction's bestselling authors Harry Sidebottom and Anthony Riches will talk about their life and work.

QuirkHouse Theatre Company & Conservatoire East, in Association with Walking With the Wounded, will present a selection of war poems, including some by well-known poets such as Sassoon and Owen and some not so well-known, at the town's War Memorial on Angel Hill.

For children, you can join Katy Birchall, author of the The It Girl teen comedy series, for a fun event all about creative writing and how to get your stories started!

Plus author of the popular 'Boyface' series of books, and possibly the only children's stand-up comedian in Britain, James Campbell will inspire and amuse with a talk and workshop for children.
