Double accolade as Maison Bleue puts Suffolk on Global Culinary Map

Bury St Edmunds French modern restaurant, Maison Bleue has scooped more accolades achieving two 2018 Worldwide Luxury Restaurant Awards.

For the second year Maison Bleue achieved Regional Winner for the Fine Dining Cuisine category and scooped the coveted Global Winner for Haute Cuisine category.

“These awards serve as recognition of sustained commitment to service excellence and outstanding achievement in the international luxury restaurant industry. Maison Bleue showcased outstanding and original creativity, ambience, service and fine dining, among the world’s most respected restaurants”. commented Brandon Lourens, Founder and CEO World Luxury Restaurant Awards.

The nominated French modern restaurant Maison Bleue achieved the Worldwide Luxury Restaurant Awards based on culinary excellence and memorable experiences with outstanding atmosphere and service based on customer reviews.

Highly regarded as a welcoming, independent French modern restaurant, known for their exceptional dishes and seasonally changing menu with locally sourced ingredients; restaurateurs Karine and Chef Pascal Canevet pride themselves in delivering a consistent top-class service.

Michelin Guide listed with a five-star TripAdvisor ‘Certificate of Excellence’  it’s no surprise Maison Bleue is continuing to achieve such high praise; whilst the number of visitors travelling from across Europe to enjoy Chef-Patron Pascal Canevet’ exceptional menu is increasing.

Hardens Guides, the UK's most Authoritative Restaurant Guide, have this to say: “Superior to many Michelin starred restaurants, and much better value” – Pascal and Karine Canavet’s characterful Gallic restaurant sits near the cathedral of this picturesque town and “just gets better and better”. The cuisine is “exceptional” and “beautifully presented too”, service is “impeccable” and the “very fine looking dining room” is “just the place to go to for romance”

Patron Karine Canevet has worked alongside her husband Chef-patron Pascal overseeing graceful, discreet service that has become an ambient signature of Maison Bleue. Asked how she felt about the awards Karine Canevet commented:

“We are proudly flying the flag for Suffolk and delighted to be part of Bury St Edmunds diverse selection of independent eateries. We are thrilled our customers enjoy the whole dining experience at Maison Bleue; and thank them for their continued support”
