Whether you are looking for a special family day out for Father’s Day, an evening with the girls / a bunch of friends, or maybe a romantic evening for just the two of you, there’s a great choice of films for you to choose. 

Sundown Cinema is back at Ickworth House for the second year with six specially selected ‘Before Sundown’ films over the weekend of June 15-17. 


Enjoy your picnic and soak up the atmosphere whilst still watching the children having fun running around in front of the Rotunda. They provide the popcorn – just don’t forget to bring your picnic and your blankets and mats to sit on.

Thelma and Louise (June 15) takes the young Geena Davis, Susan Sarandon, Brad Pitt on a short fishing trip that becomes a real adventure when Louise (Susan Sarandon) shoots and kills a man who attacks Thelma (Geena Davies) at the bar.

Or how about Academy Award-winning romantic musical comedy drama La La Land (June 16)where you can follow Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling as they find their dreams.

If it’s action and superheros you’re looking for, perhaps Wonder Woman (June 17) is the film for you with Chris Pine and Gal Gadot – a superhero film like no other.



Imagine enjoying Audrey Hepburn’s bewitching performance in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (June 17) at Ickworth House… the venue can only add to the style and class of this absolute classic film.

Children and adults alike will enjoy Walt Disney’s Moana (Friday 15 June), the tale of an adventurous teenager who sails out of a daring mission to save her people. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she has always sought: her own identity.



Rapunzel may have been locked away but has been crowned with 70 feet of magical golden hair. Another Disney favourite, Tangled (June 16) follows the adventure of Rapunzel and Flynn on their worldwind adventure.
