What goes best with sunny days? A side helping of live music and maybe a chilled beverage or two.

There's a huge array| of fantastic live music events and festivals taking place in Bury St Edmunds and Beyond this summer, here's our pick of the best summer gigs!

Thursday 28th June - Suzanne Vega

The Apex, 8pm

Suzanne Vega the renowned American singer/songwriter is coming to The Apex in Bury St Edmunds, supported by Karima Francis.Sincer her debut 25 years ago she has sold over 7 million albums and has been nominated for 7 Grammy awards.

4th - 8th July - Bures Music Festival

Nayland Road, Bures, Suffolk CO8 5BX

Bures Music Festival is the East Anglian summer event of the year for music lovers of all ages and tastes. This unique festival supports a multitude of musical genres from jazz to blues, rock to pop, plus a popular choral night. This year's festival welcomes internationally known bands and musicians to the stage including the The Ashton Jones Project, The Kubricks Southband, The Vagaband, the UK Beach Boys, The Kinx and Funk 2k. 


6th & 7th July - Bardfest

Church Meadow, Bardwell Village, Bardwell, Suffolk IP31 1AH

A family-fun festival in the Suffolk countryside, Bardfest showcases the country's top bands finest live bands in the country, a real ale festival, food tents, children's entertainment and W!ld Camping should you wish to mke a weekend of it! 

The Real Ale Festival will grow this year with a selection of some 40 real ales from great breweries located all over the UK whilst the food tent offers famous Jumbo Hot Dog’s and Steakburgers, as well as Chips, Spicy Chilli and something special for the Vegetarians. The Hog Roast will be served early evening both days.

The Kid’s Bar will be selling candy floss and popcorn and in the food court you will find The Walking Wok with zingy Malaysian dishes plus Mexican, wraps, jerk chicken, ice cream, Yum Yum Tree Fudge, churros, doughnuts, slush, milk shakes and sweets.

There's plenty to keep young festival-goers entertained; face painting, hair braiding, rides, zorbs, games and attractions.

5th July - Il Divo in Concert with guest appearance from Michael Ball at Euston Park

World renowned classical cross over group Il Divo are heading out on their Castles and Country Tour and will be live at Euston Hall on the 5th of July 2018. This seated outdoor concert is taking place in the hall's stunning grounds so and is the perfect way to spend a warm summer's evening. They will be joined by multi-million selling global superstar Micheal Ball.

6th July - Tom Jones at Euston Park

Euston Park, Thetford, Suffolk IP24 2QP

Music legend Tom Jones will be performing in the ground of the stunning Euston Hall this summer. The concert will be a celebration of his music career which has spanned six decades. Tom and his band will be performing a stunning set-list that traverses all eras and genres of popular music.

7th July - Stately Madness 

Euston Hall, Thetford, Suffolk IP24 2QP

Madness has been playing for three decades, has spent 214 weeks in the UK Single charts, and achieved 15 Top Ten Hits. As part of their 'Stately' tour they will be at Euston Hall for this open air concert on 7th July.

3rd August - Never The Bride

The Hunter Club, 6 St Andrews Street South, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3PH

In the very heart of the notorious London rock and roll scene exists a whirlwind duo of female energy and ecstasy, please meet Never The Bride. Their live performance is to be held in awe, purely in anticipation of the live operatic architecture they consistently unfurl upon their willing audiences. 

They will be at The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds having invaded venues ranging from The Royal Albert Hall (on multiple occasions), playing alongside Elton John at the Royal Albert Hall, Touring UK & Australia with The British Symphony Rock Symphony alongside, Roger Daltrey, Paul Rogers, Wembley Arena supporting The Who and Glastonbury Festival, Never The Bride have amazed and floored audiences and peer groups alike over their 25 years of service – these ladies are true rock and roll royalty.

9th - 12th August - White Noise Festival

Euston Park, Thetford, Suffolk IP24 2QP

An independent, family-run motoring and arts festival taking place in the grounds of Euston Park.

This year's line up includes the Neville Staple Band, Shades of Rythem, The Marley Experience, Killamonjambo, The Allergies and Lakuta. 

The festival also features retro and custom bike competitions, electric trade village, real ale and cider tent, live graffiti, fun fair, magic shows, food stalls and free family workshops.
