Abbey of St Edmund Visitor Survey

Visitors and residents of Bury St Edmunds are being asked for their experiences of visiting the Abbey of St Edmund in a new survey.

The Abbey of St Edmund Visitor Survey follows on from the successful ‘Past, Present and Future’ conference which the Abbey Heritage Partnership held at St Edmundsbury Cathedral in January.

It will provide vital information about visitor preferences and characteristics for the future work of the Heritage Partnership as it seeks to help better understand and protect the Abbey of St Edmund for future generations to enjoy, and gain insight into how better to explain its significance to local residents and our many visitors.

The online version of the Abbey of St Edmunds Survey takes just a few minutes to complete and can be completed here

University of East Anglia (UEA) student Hannah Pledge has designed the survey with members of the Heritage Partnership and will be carrying out face-to face surveys with visitors and residents in Bury St Edmunds town centre during March and April.

Hannah, who lives in Bury St Edmunds, is on an MA student part-time placement to the Abbey of St Edmund and Moyse's Hall Museum. She is studying for an MA in the Cultural Heritage and Museums Programme.
