T-Rex Returns to the Cathedral

'Jam' the T-Rex returns to St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Tuesday 27th August!

On Tuesday 27 August ‘Jam’ The T-Rex returns to St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, to meet adventurous visitors of all ages. Following the success of the ‘Teach Rex’ event last summer, workshops, lasing 45 minutes each, are being held at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm in the nave of the Cathedral.

Children have the chance to get up close to the Tyrannosaurus Rex and join in interactive games. The workshops are aimed at children aged 5-13 years old but they can be enjoyed by teenagers and adults too. This event is organised by Teach Rex, an organisation which works with children to encourage learning in a creative environment.

Tickets, at £4 each, are available online from www.stedscathedral.org/whats-on/ All children must be accompanied by an adult and adults require a ticket too.

‘Cathedrals are places of creativity and welcome,’ comments Sarah Friswell, PR Manager at the Cathedral. ‘Teach Rex is a fun way to engage with our younger visitors, which we hope will inspire them and encourage them to explore the Cathedral.’

Further details can be found on the Cathedral’s website www.stedscathedral.org or by calling the Events Manager on 01284 748720.
