The Bear Inn Easter Gin Festival Returns This Weekend

The Bear Inn, Beyton is hosting its second Gin Festival this Easter weekend.

The Bear Inn, purchased by owners Hannah and Garry Clark over 3 years ago will host the four-day festival in the garden offering a range of gins, mixers and food nibbles with a purpose built outside bar.

Hannah and Garry, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience of running beer festivals have arranged an interesting and eclectic range of gins, that have been expertly matched with a suitable mixer.

“Gin is still a well performing product in the drinks sector, but the unappreciated partner in a Gin and Tonic is of course the tonic; or mixer!” said Garry.

He went on to explain that he researched a range of types and styles of gins and what mixer is best suited to each, as the taste of a gin is heavily influenced by the mixer you have.  “So a citrus and herbaceous gin such as Gin Mare is best suited to a Mediterranean style tonic; whilst a New Western style gin such as Edinburgh gin is best suited to a traditional tonic mixer.”

The Gin Festival runs from Friday 19th April to Monday 22nd April where the garden bar will be serving gins and food nibbles from 12 noon to 8pm.  Early bird tickets are available costing £10 which includes a Bear Inn branded gin glass, and your welcome G&T.

The Bear Inn is a relaxed and welcoming Freehouse Pub located in the picturesque country village of Beyton in Suffolk.

They open seven days a week and have a restaurant serving food from Monday lunchtime through to Sunday afternoon, serving British food with a contemporary twist using quality locally sourced ingredients.
