There's A Head in My Bed

Children heading to Bury St Edmunds Guildhall this Sunday have the chance to enjoy local history and the story of King Edmund through fun storytelling and creative crafts.

Local author Hatty Ashton will be at the Guildhall, in Guildhall Street, on Easter Sunday April 21 reading her versed tales of King Edmund in her own unique, imaginative way.

Hatty, who lives in the town, will read the hugely popular There’s A Head In My Bed which tells how Edmund lost his head in battle, only for a wolf to come along and reunite it with his body.

Hatty said: “I can’t wait to read my stories in the wonderful surroundings of Bury St Edmunds Guildhall and look forward to welcoming families and sharing my books with them all.

“It’s the perfect venue for me to tell these local tales.”

The event, which is suitable for children ages three to seven, start at 2pm and admission is £5 per child with adults going free.
