'Come and Sing' with St Edmundsbury Cathedral

Raise your spirits and take part in this rare and unique opportunity as singers of all voices are invited to join a ‘Come and Sing’ version of Stainer’s Crucifixion via social media on Good Friday, at 5pm. 

Organised by the Music department at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, the organ accompaniment and soloists have been pre-recorded appropriately, due to the current restrictions. These will provide backing and support via the Cathedral’s YouTube channel, whilst singers join in at home.

Inspired by the homemade videos made by the public, the team at Blackthorpe Barn decided to bring their artisan craft workshops to you at home, and so #VirtuallyAtTheBarn was launched! A hub of videos made by some of the makers who come to the barn. 

There's a range of mini craft projects that people can make using materials easily found in their home including twig craft, embroidery and children's crafts, with more being added in the weeks to come!

Test your knowledge with West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

One of England's great archaeological sites, West Stow Anglo Saxon Village may be closed for the time being, but they are taking visitors with them on a virtual trip to the past, back in time some 1000 years ago. 

With fun facts plus a range of activities for families to take part in and enjoy at home including creating your own Anglo-Saxon name, colouring sheets, learning your name with the Runic Alphabet and helping Eomer and Aelfwynn fill their ship for an adventure.

Spark creativity with Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds

The only regency theatre left in Britain, and the 3rd oldest too, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds are bringing the theatre to you with a series of 'Make & Do Mondays' - simple craft activities that you can make at home from the Creative Learnind Department; 'Workshop Wednesdays' - with performance exercises and games to get your creative juices flowing and 'Fun Fridays' keeping the Friday feeling alive with a random mix of fun activities, facts and positivity.

So far there's been an improvisation workshop and a shadow puppet theatre tutorial - with lots more to come!
