Located just outside of the medieval market town of Bury St Edmunds, it’s a great base for exploring the sights at your leisure and is the perfect place to embark on a bike ride. There is a large garden, perfect for youngsters to explore, as well as a gym, sauna and steam room available for that extra bit of indulgence.

West Stow Pods

Glamping is the perfect balance of comfort and nature for those who want to get outdoors but still enjoy a good night’s sleep!

West Stow Pods offer a unique glamping experience amid the magical seclusion of Suffolk’s countryside. Choose a cosy mega pod or a rustic forest lodge among the trees, or go all in with the extra special ‘Pod Hollow’; a subterranean hobbit hole complete with unusual furnishings and a fantastical style. There is plenty to do nearby, including a range of walks in the beautiful King’s Forest and Fuller’s Mill Gardens. West Stow Hall

The elegant West Stow Hall possesses a very unique history as a cherished Tudor family home. A self-catered stay in one of the gorgeous cottages or stylish studios in the grounds of this stately building will certainly be a memory-maker for all. The studio is a stunning self-contained retreat, complete with wood burning stove and views of the Tudor colonnade and hall.

The grounds are extensive and full of surprises such as woods, streams and wildlife.  You can also opt to stay in ‘Gardner’s cottage’ which is a calming flint and stone building within the old walled gardens of the Hall. It is south facing- perfect for BBQs, and is even surrounded by its own resident fields of horses.

Rede Hall Farm Park 

Rede Farm is a working farm which breeds, trains and works rare breed Suffolk Punch horses- as well as welcoming guests to stay in one of their wonderful red brick and flint self-catering cottages. Both cottages are four star rated and fully self-contained. 

Choose Jenny Wren cottage with its unique wrought iron staircase and airy galleried sitting room as well as three spacious bedrooms. Nuthatch Cottage had a grand four-poster bed and gallery area to kick back and relax in. Both cottages have their own patio and BBQs and share access to a bubbling hot tub! Well-behaved dogs are welcomed with open arms, and there are fantastic dog walks nearby.

The Stable at Mullion Barn

The beautiful, private self-catering annex is housed in a sympathetically converted 17th Century Grade II listed barn, situated in the picturesque village of Hessett, on the edge of Bury St Edmunds. ‘The Stable’ sleeps up to three adults or a small family, but is especially suited to a couple. The single storey barn is bursting with original features such as high ceilings, brickwork and exposed oak beams, and is furnished with a modern twist. There are many wonderful touches, such as a trunk of board games and puzzles for your enjoyment, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. The kitchen comes stocked with basic essentials and you can put in an order for a delivery of local eggs, bacon and sausages.

Garden Corner

Garden Corner is a comfortable holiday let, perfect for a family staycation. Located just ten minutes walk from the centre of Bury St Edmunds, it is perfectly located as a base for exploring the sights of Suffolk. The property sleeps four, with bunk beds for the youngsters, and has a well-appointed kitchen, it’s own sunny patio, conservatory and garden.  All linen is provided, as well as wifi.

Mill House Holiday Cottages

Mill House Holiday Cottages offers visitors the choice of three charming self-catering cottages, all with their own individual charm and situated in four acres of picturesque countryside.

All the cottages are well equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay, including linen and towels, WIFI and a fully appointed kitchen. There are many additional facilities for your pleasure, including tennis and badminton, lawn games and even a gym with cardio machines and weights- all free of charge. Franz Cottage boasts French windows and a patio with views of the ponds and gardens. The Bakery, which as its name suggests, was once a hive of bread-baking activity, retains original features such as exposed beams, a water pump and even the baker’s range.

Wylene Holiday Home

Wylene Holiday Home is a pleasant and spacious bungalow on the eastern outskirts of Great Barton Village provides a brilliant base for folks looking to explore the Suffolk countryside on foot or by bike and sleeps up to eight people. Inside, the property is cosy and comfortable, great for winding down after a busy day out and about. The property is easily accessible for all, being all on one level, and is surrounded by lovely gardens. Well-behaved pets are welcome and all linen is provided too.

Upthorpe Lodges

Eco-conscious travellers will love the designer Upthorpe Lodges located in the stunning Suffolk countryside. Each lodge has its own private garden with south-facing sun deck, loungers and relaxing hot tub. All have been carefully designed to meet their ethical credentials, from the solar panels to the roof, clad with sustainably sourced Cedar from British Columbia. National Trust Ickworth Holiday Cottages 

Ickworth estate is an expansive National Trust site, which offers guests the chance to stay in a range of self-catering holiday cottages nestled away in the stunning grounds. Choose from five characterful holiday cottages, each with their own quirky, distinguishing features. Keepers Cottage and Carpenters Cottage, as the names suggest, have been home to generations of gamekeepers and estate carpenters through the years. 

Today they offer a stylish place for a trip away and the chance to experience life at the heart of the working estate. Gardens House has its own private garden haven and direct access to the surrounding parkland through a secret door in its surrounding walls. The ‘Roundhouse’ evokes the Ickworth Rotunda in miniature and was originally designed as a prestigious hunting lodge for guests attending estate shoots.
