An iconic and historic restaurant in Bury St Edmunds, 1921 Angel Hill is offering a special, 3-course Mother's Day menu on Sunday 22nd March from 12pm -4pm.

Start your meal with white onion veloutte with Baron Bigod and pickled potato; Mersea crab with mooli, green apple & avocado; Salt cod mousse with white asparagus, egg yolk and morels and Confit rabbit waldorf with pickled grapes, walnut nougatine and spring truffle.

Main courses on offer include 40 day aged Suffolk beef braised shin; Stuffed Sutton Hoo chicken, Stone bass fillet & boudin; potato & truffle pressing; salt & vinegar potatoes.

To finish your meal, delectable desserts include dark chocolate & pistachio tiramisu; apple arctic roll and lemon tart brioche - followed by a selection of British cheeses, chutney and oatcakes.

Ben's Restaurant

After a walk around through the historic Abbey gardens, settle down for a delicious Mother's Day lunch at Ben's Restaurant. The restaurant focuses uses the highest quality ingredients from independent Suffolk suppliers, a true 'Farm to Fork, experience! 

The 3-course menu is priced at £30 and includes homemade Moroccan Spiced Carrot Soup; smoked Ham Terrine; pulled beef Croquettes or smoked haddock & suffolk gold tart.

For mains, the traditional Sunday Roast comes with roast topside of Suffolk beef an all the trimmings; or there's nut roast; pan fried pollock fillet or pulled pork with black pudding & apple pie.

At ICE they really do have everything you need to treat your Mum this Mothers Day.  Their award winning chefs have come up with the ultimate indulgent roast dinner. Choose from roast rib of beef with Barney’s Yorkshires; roast loin of pork, crackling, apple sauce; or a vegetarian or vegan option, all served with all the trimmings.

The Swan at Lavenham

The Bear Inn, Beyton

Nestled in the pretty Suffolk village of Beyton, you will find The Bear Inn; a country pub serving great food and a range of ales and local beers.

The Black Lion, Long Melford

The Black Lion is a 15th Century inn where a modern twist on the traditional creates a wonderful setting to enjoy the special Mother’s Day Menu. 

Choose from a range of starters such as goat’s cheese mousse, roasted beets, candied walnuts; Mackerel pate with treacle sourdough & apple; roasted tomato soup with garlic cream or chargrilled asparagus with poached hen’s egg, chive hollandaise sauce.

The Ickworth Hotel

After a walk through the surrounding park, the whole family can tuck into a delicious Mother's Day meal at The Ickworth Hotel. The special menu features starters such as spring vegetable soup; poached salmon and crottin goat's cheese. Followed by mains of roast topside of beef; roast loin of pork; fillet of plaice or sweet potato and spinach stew. Alternatively, treat mum to the Beatrix Potter themed afternoon tea! The adult menu features traditional sandwiches and scones, plus a delicious Herdwick lamb pie to reflect the years Miss Potter spent breeding Herdwick sheep on her Lake District farm. Adults can also indulge in Benjamin Bunny’s carrot cake with mascarpone and orange icing, Mr McGregor’s stolen vegetables served in chocolate mousse ‘soil’ and Mrs Tiggywinkle’s rhubarb and custard crunch. Twins have arrived at Kentwell Hall! Kentwell's Rare Breed Norfolk Horn Sheep have welcomed eight sets of twins and even one set of triplets already this spring. The magnificent Tudor house has opened it's doors for the season for Lambing Weekends; during which you can get up close and learn about the history of the breed.
