The Northgate is a striking Victorian Townhouse stylishly transformed into a fun and vibrant bar, restaurant, and hotel. A popular hotel for visitors to the town, The Northgate is situated at the heart of the action, and even overlooks the iconic Abbey Gardens. 

There is last-minute availability in the light and spacious Bunbury Room, priced from £159 on 15th, 22nd, 26th and 29th August. This airy double-king features sunny sash windows, a cream and green colour scheme, and luxurious French-styled furniture and accessories. 

Your well-timed visit will coincide with the East Anglia Beer and Cider Festival, taking place for 6 days at St Edmundsbury Cathedral. Enjoy over 200 real ales, 40 ciders, and a range of delicious food stalls as well as a sound stage and full entertainment programme.

Garden Corner 

Cosy Garden Corner is a secluded 2 bedroom bungalow on the outskirts of the town, perfect for a relaxed getaway in the countryside with the benefit of many local attractions and amenities. 

The self-catered accommodation welcomes children and has an attractive garden and bright conservatory. There is currently availability for one period of 7 or more nights between Tuesday 31 August  — Saturday 11 September. During your visit why not head into Bury St Edmunds and follow the ‘Art around town’ trail - see if you can track down work by 500 local artists who have all customised a 10-inch pizza box, inspired by the question “What makes Bury tick?”.

Rede Hall Farm Park

Immerse yourself in the epitome of Suffolk charm in one of the gorgeous cottages at Rede Hall Farm Park. Nuthatch Cottage features a roomy lounge and unique wrought iron spiral staircase leading to a relaxing gallery area. There are two double bedrooms, both with ensuites as well as a sofa bed if needed. The master bedroom boasts a romantic four-poster bed and the cottage has all the amenities you need for a comfortable self-catered stay. Nuthatch Cottage is available for a short break from Monday 30th August to Friday 3rd September and also for the week commencing Friday 24th September. 

Jenny Wren Cottage is a special place to stay, with flint walls and an airy galleried sitting area. There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor, one of them benefitting from french doors leading onto a private patio area- perfect for an alfresco breakfast. There is another bedroom with two single beds and well-behaved dogs are welcome so there is no reason to leave anyone behind. Jenny Wren cottage is available for a short break from Monday 30th August to Friday 3rd September and also for the week commencing Friday 17th September. You can also stay at Jenny Wren Cottage for the week commencing Monday 27th September- the perfect timing to visit Kentwell Hall’s tranquil gardens, complete with stunning displays of topiary and even a courtyard maze.

The Angel Hotel

Escape and unwind at The Angel Hotel, a sanctuary in the heart of the town, positively reverberating with eclectic and cosmopolitan chic. Each room is individually decorated, with unique stylistic touches. Some of the suites boast unusual freestanding copper baths and all rooms have complimentary toiletries and sumptuous linen, as well as tea and coffee facilities.
