Bury St Edmunds Guildhall's Season

Bury St Edmunds Guildhall is delighted to announce 'The Guildhall Season' from 21st June - 11th July; three weeks of music, theatre, talks, exhibitions, and workshops!

The historic Bury St Edmunds Guildhall will reopen in June for three weeks of events, showcasing local talent and helping to bring a bit of culture back to our calendars!

Highlights will include a celebration of creativity from the Art and Design students at West Suffolk College, outdoor concerts by musicians Ricky Solo and Woody Marcus, a talk by popular local historian Martyn Taylor, and a performance of Quirkhouse Theatre’s original drama ‘Seventh Train’, which won the prestigious Kenneth Branagh Award for new drama.

The Guildhall Season will be a chance to discover old secrets, with a tour of Bury’s streets, led by town guide Terry O’Donoghue, and an opportunity to try something completely new with taster sessions of yoga and tai-chi.

The team at the Guildhall is looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces, including early music trio Hexachordia and costume expert Kindra Jones, as well as welcoming new groups like the Not So Nice! Theatre Company, who will be premiering their wedding-themed immersive theatre experience ‘Til Death Do Us Part’.

These events are all about celebrating local talent, supporting this special venue, and contributing to Bury St Edmunds’ fantastic bounce-back following a difficult year.

Tickets for the Guildhall Season will be available through The Apex Box Office. For more information, please visit the Guildhall website - and the What’s on West Suffolk website -
