The beautiful outdoor garden of Damson & Wilde is Bury St Edmunds' newest outdoor dining destination!
Damson & Wilde is a stunning social space, serving up small plates, sharing dishes, and delicious drinks every day, early until late. They offer breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, and cocktails. With a plush interior, a beautiful walled garden, and a fantastically, friendly team, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind with friends, family, colleagues, or your own company.
Their menus are full of flavours of the Mediterranean, whilst our wine list features local delights, classic styles and brand new, new world wines. Alongside their carefully curated cocktails and range of lagers, ales, ciders and soft drinks, there really is something for everyone at Damson & Wilde.
Queens Bar & Grill's Pretty Garden Area
Queens Bar & Grill's Courtyard Garden
Located in the heart of Bury St Edmunds, Queens is a welcoming bar and grill serving top quality food and drink!
Queens Bar and Grill is located in what used to be the 'Queen's Head'. With a new lease of life and a complete re-design, they serve home-made american inspired food including burgers, ribs and bar nibbles in an atmospheric industrial style setting.
Split into a dining area, bar, conservatory and garden, there are plenty of areas to make yourself comfortable and tuck into one of their menu delights or just pop in for a cocktail...or two! There is a games room at the back with a pool table and table tennis, as well as board games dotted around for you and your friends. They have regular live music, events and showcase some big sports. Pooches are welcome in the bar area and garden, as long as they are well behaved and kept on a lead at all times.
A Traditional Pub Garden at The Masons Arms
A traditional pub in the heart of historic Bury St Edmunds, The Masons Arms serves a fabulous selection of real and guest ales alongside hearty pub grub.
The terrace is the ideal place to enjoy a pint of one of Greene King's cast ales (brewed within the town), alongside your meal; choose from Masons fish and chips, pulled beef chilli con carne, scampi, jackfruit burger and sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry.

One of the town's most stylish cafes situated in Bury St Edmund's prestigious Hatter Street, the Lounge & Garden has a beautiful garden to soak up the sun and enjoy breakfast or lunch.

Located in Hatter Street in the historic sector of town it is the perfect venue for coffee and a chat, afternoon tea with home-made cakes, a relaxing glass of wine or a sit-down meal, available day and evening.
No.4’s menu is created by the restaurant’s Red Seal certified Canadian chef, Alex Rotherham who specialises in Canadian West Coast cuisine blending foods from around the world yet using local produce when possible.
Midgar's Secret Courtyard
The secret courtyard at Midgar is a lovely relaxing outdoor space tucked away from the hustle and bustle.
Make your way past the facilities and up a corridor to find the secret courtyard at the back of the coffee house.
An independent cafe serving good coffee, tasty toasties, scrumptious homebaked treats, Midgar has a friendly, cosy and tranquil atmosphere.
They are located on St John's Street, a road full of character with many independent shops just off the main shopping square of Bury St Edmunds.
Midgar serve specialty coffee, brewed teas, fresh juices, natural smoothies, homemade cakes, vegan and vegetarian toasties.

National chain Pizza Express can be found in Abbeygate Street with a bright open plan indoor setting which also has tables outside.

While inside, there is artwork and tables from Dapper Aviation, which makes furniture from aircraft parts, and makes this cafe truly unique.

The Swan at Lavenham
Soak up the sun with lunch, or watch as it goes down with a table in the pretty garden at The Swan at Lavenham.
The lunch menu includes grilled sardines, pressing of Suffolk ham hock, prawn and lobster cocktail and summer Caesar salad for starter; Adnams beer battered haddock, lamb and apricot burger, grilled herrings, summer green vegetable gnocchi, ribeye steak and grilled plaice.
To finish, enjoy a summer dessert of strawberry and elderflower fool, vanilla panna cotta, pistachio and chocolate brownie and apricot tarte tatin.
The Black Lion, Long Melford
The 15th century Black Lion in Long Melford is the perfect space for a relaxed lunch, dinner or cocktails in the new conservatory which leads on to the large terrace.
You can start your day here with a delicious breakfast of full Suffolk breakfast, smoked salmon and scrambled egg, poached egg with smashed avocado and brioche toast an buttermilk pancakes.
For lunch there's a 2 or 3 course set menu or afternoon tea menu to choose from and for dinner, the a'la carte menu features dishes such as line caught stone bass, pork tenderloin, rack of lamb, duck breast and chicken breast with chorizo.
The Weeping Willow
Located in a pretty village in the heart of Suffolk, The Weeping Willow in Barrow has been beautiful restored and renovated.
The garden is one of the prettiest you will see, with beautiful herbaceous flower beds that surround the outside high tables with bar stools, wicker swings and as the name suggests, a weeping willow!
The menu is impressive; chargrilled ribeye steak, Willow burger in brioche bun, paella mixta, oyster mushroom risotto, and filet of seabass, followed by white chocolate crémeux, sticky toffee pudding, lemon posset and Willow mess. To accompany the food, make sure you also cast your eye over the gin and cocktail menu!
