Pascal Canevet scoops prestigious Restaurant Chef Award!
Chef patron Pascal Canevet of Maison Bleue, Bury St Edmunds, is celebrating success having gained the prestigious ‘Restaurant Chef Award’ sponsored by Hoshizaki UK, at yesterday’s Craft Guild of Chefs Awards. The glittering awards ceremony at the London Hilton on Park lane was attended by over 600 professionals and industry luminaries.
The award was presented by celebrity chef James Tanner, host for the evening. The other finalists in the category were Jean-Philippe Blondet, Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester and Kuba Winkowski, The Feathered Nest Country Inn.
Chef patron Pascal Canevet said “I feel very honoured and privileged, it’s a first for us and I’m so thrilled for the team”
Previous winners of Craft Guild of Chef awards include Marco Pierre White, Alain Ducasse and James Martin.
Following on from Maison Bleue’s ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award in the Suffolk Food and Drink Awards 2019 - this is a double win for Maison Bleue and Suffolk this summer.
Karine Canevet, Maison Bleue said: “We are all so very proud of Pascal. His creativity, and commitment to excellence is renowned - it’s a well-deserved award”
Quality and creativity are the hallmarks of Pascal’s menu including fresh prime ingredients embellished with an innovative twist that enhances the flavours. A champion of locally grown produce Pascal inherited his love of ‘home grown’ produce from his mother Lea; which he now shares with young chefs and school children across Suffolk instilling a fundamental understanding of the importance of provenance, taste and nutrition.
