Lavenham Literary Festival Is Back
To celebrate 1000 years since the founding of King Edmund’s monastery in Bury St Edmunds, Simon Edge author of the hilarious Anyone for Edmund? will be one of the guest authors!

The seventh Lavenham Literary Festival will take place in various venues in Lavenham from November 18-20, with tickets on sale from Tuesday August 30.
Making a welcome return to speak in the Village Hall on Sunday 20 November is 2021 Festival Dinner Speaker Alan Johnson. Alan has turned from major politician, and memoir-writer to writing crime fiction and his second novel will be published in September.
He will be joined on the platform by Lesley Dolphin known to so many for her afternoon broadcasts on BBC Radio Suffolk.
The exciting line-up includes the ever-popular historian Tracy Borman, best-selling novelist Rachel Joyce, poet Wendy Cope, Suffolk author Kate Sawyer, Dr Roopa Farooki, Andrew Lownie, Lady Colin Campbel, and nature-writer Patrick Barkham.
To celebrate 1000 years since the founding of King Edmund’s monastery in Bury St Edmunds, Simon Edge author of the hilarious Anyone for Edmund? will speak at the Guildhall on Friday evening 18 November.

Kate Humble
The 2022 Festival Dinner Speaker at The Swan at Lavenham Hotel & Spa on Friday 18 November will be Kate Humble. Dinner tickets are on sale from The Swan from noon on Tuesday 6 September.
To book tickets (maximum two per booking), please email functions@theswanatlavenham.co.uk and include your telephone number where possible. No requests can be handled before noon on 6 September.
