Refurbished Dragonfly Hotel Opens
Surya Hotels are nearing completion of an extensive refurbishment programme at the Dragonfly Hotel in Bury St Edmunds.
The refurbishment in Bury St Edmunds is part of Surya Hotels £1m programme of investment at their four Dragonfly-branded hotels in East Anglia which they acquired two years ago.
All 71 bedrooms at The Dragonfly Hotel have been newly designed rooms with a modern stylish décor in shades of rust, copper and burnt orange with luxury king-size Hypnos beds for each room. Award winning and designed to give a rejuvenating night’s sleep, Hypnos beds use a blend of natural and sustainable fillings and an intelligent pocket spring system offering support for your back to ensure a comfortable rest.

The bedrooms also feature comfortable arm-chairs and a practical working station with lamp and connection to complementary high speed WiFi. There's also an impressive 43” wall mounted Phillips flat screen Television where you can enjoy a multitude of Freeview channels at your leisure and USB ports to easily charge your devices.
Tea and coffee making facilities as well as a convenient in room refreshment tray with purchasable snacks and drinks complete the newly refurbished rooms which also have freshly updated bathrooms.
The hotel's redesigned communal areas have been laid with new carpets lending a modern, contemporary setting.
The newly-opened restaurant, Barley + Graze, is the heart of the Dragonfly. They meld a relaxing atmosphere with their pick of freshly prepared dishes, from a menu of modern British classics and internationally-inspired favourites. Ingredients are always seasonal and locally sourced where possible.
The airy conservatory dining room, bathed in natural light, is an enticing spot for an unhurried three-course meal, while the stylish bar beckons with your favourite tipple – and if you’re lucky, your favourite team on the big screen. Whatever the time of day, you’ll always find a cosy corner at Barley + Graze, perfect to unwind with coffee and cake for that feet-up feeling. Plus there's an exciting new breakfast range and the launch of a new all day dining menu.
