Just Traid is a fairtrade and organic shop with cafe and a outside courtyard for those sunny days. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
A fantastic selection of cereals, jams and honeys, chocolates, sweets, dried fruit, pulses and nuts, tea, coffee, cocoa and biscuits as well as cleaning products, toiletries, ethnic musical instruments, clothes, wooden crafts, bags and purses, ceramics and jewellery and toys can all be found here.
Just Traid started approximately over seven years ago with the intention that members of all the Churches in Bury St Edmunds and District should work together to assist in alleviating poverty in developing countries by buying and selling Fairtraded goods.
Just Traid is a totally self financing organisation and with the generosity of some 170 volunteers a successful shop and cafe has been developed.
We use a number of suppliers who must provide us with their fairtrade charter before we deal with them. Any profits are given to nominated charities at the close of each financial year.
Bury St Edmunds has had Fairtrade Town status since 2015. See the Bury St Edmunds Fairtrade Partnership facebook page.
