There has been a pub, or an inn, in the same spot in St John Street since the 15th century. In fact a part of the original flint wall is still on show in the dining area providing a visible part of history as you dine.

The inn is within a 10-minute walk of all Bury St Edmunds major attractions including the Abbey Gardens, St Edmundsbury Cathedral and The Apex entertainment venue.
