The Stable at Mullion Barn is a self catering holiday annexe in a peaceful rural hideaway, a beautifully restored 17th Century Grade 2 listed barn, quietly positioned in the village of Hessett on the edge of the beautiful and historical town of Bury St Edmunds.
It has a wealth of period features including wonderful oak stud walls and the survival of a fully intact diamond Mullion window.
Located in a traditional picturesque village with the tranquil suffolk countryside on your doorstep and the historical, bustling town of Bury St Edmunds a few minutes drive away you will have the best of both worlds during your break at The Stable. Being only a few minutes from the A14 the many visitor attractions of East Anglia can be accessed quickly.
The Stable accommodation offers privacy and space perfect for couples or young families, with a one bedroom, single storey living accommodation with king size bed and the option of one or two further single 'Jaybee' beds or a cot to accommodate extra guests (children and babies).
Our guests enjoy cotton bedlinen and white fluffy towels for extra comfort and luxury, a private entrance and large drive for parking.
Said to be the best preserved in the country and considered of national significance dating around 1610, this sympathetically and recently converted barn offers a wealth of original features, furnished with a modern twist.
Leading from the living room, double French doors open out onto the garden with table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay, this is ideal for that perfect getaway.
