Guilt free luxury! Four contemporary designer lodges with high eco credentials set in the Suffolk countryside close to Bury St Edmunds. For couples only, each lodge has its own individual style, and each lodge is set inside its own private garden with south-facing sun deck and luxury hot tub.
For dining in, the kitchen is fully equipped, enough to satisfy the keenest of cooks. For dining out, there are plenty of good quality restaurants and other eating establishments in nearby villages and at Bury St Edmunds. However, one of Suffolk's leading restaurants, The Leaping Hare at Wyken Vineyards, is barely a mile away from us.
Some of our guests like to explore the local area on foot, by cycle, or by car. There are numerous footpath routes and bridleways on our doorstep all providing easy country walking and we provide local maps and information. We have loan cycles for those wishing to try out the country lanes visiting historic villages along the way. For a more challenging terrain there is off-road cycle hire at Thetford Forest.
Positioned in the centre of East Anglia, many guests get to take in such rural treasures as the Suffolk Heritage coast, Constable Country and Suffolk's Wool Towns. The 'country' cities of Norwich and Cambridge are both within one hour's drive, and both have a variety of good reasons to visit.
For business visitors we provide an ideal restful retreat with wi-fi included. You'll be free to come and go as you please, enjoy the peace and quiet and relax in the hot tub at night. Longer term lets are often available especially out of the normal peak holiday seasons, and at preferential rates.
At Upthorpe Lodges we have tried to make a stay in Suffolk a memorable one, with anniversary and birthday dates being popular booking times for guests. All lodges have a king-size bed, large shower, and Smart TV (with Netflix).
So don't choose just any place to stay, choose Upthorpe Lodges.
