About this event
Pam Ayres has been making the nation laugh for almost five decades.
She will be performing a selection of poems and stories, old and new, from her many books, including her latest, 'Pam Ayres on Animals', which was the UK’s bestselling poetry book of 2021.
Recent TV appearances include two series of The Cotswolds with Pam Ayres, for Channel 5, This Morning, Alan Titchmarsh, and Would I Lie To You.
Pam’s Radio career includes six series of Ayres On The Air, many appearances on Just A Minute, and she is honoured to have appeared twice on Desert Island Discs.
“I keep smiling, remembering moments performed by the incredible Pam Ayres at CurveLeicester last night. Laughed and cried in equal measure. What a woman.” - BBC Radio
“Pam Ayres is absolutely essential to British humour, reminding us all to be tickled by the small joys and ridiculousness of everyday life. It’s not something poets often do – they’re usually too deep in love, death and angst.” - Mail on Sunday
Starts: 7.30pm
Tickets: £28.50
