Art Around Town Trail
Start Date: 30 July 2021
End Date: 30 September 2021

Bury St Edmunds Town Centre

Art Around Town gave local artists a 10” pizza box and asked them the question: What makes Bury tick?

Around 500 local artists will be customising brown cardboard 10 inch pizza boxes.

The artists taking part have been invited to employ any medium or technique they choose. Their artwork is inspired by the question “What makes Bury tick?’, in other words, the characters, landmarks and best kept secrets that give our town its unique feel.

You’ll be able to view these artworks within public buildings as well as and in the windows of local businesses in the centre of town. There are some very surprising locations including the aviaries in Abbey Gardens!

To find out where you can see the pizza box artworks, download the map below, pick up a free leaflet from The Apex or other venues around town and scan the QR code, or visit the Art Around Town Instagram page @artaroundtownbury, where you can also find out more about the artists and the stories behind their boxes.

To keep up to speed with developments, to find out more about the artists, the stories behind their boxes and the businesses that are hosting, follow Art Around Town on Instagram.

The Art Around Town trail is now available on the Bury St Edmunds LoyalFree app. Download it for free in the Google Play & Apple app stores! The app, in partnership with Our Bury St Edmunds BID features on the go town centre offers, maps, trails, & much more!
