St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Clare, Suffolk

A superb concert of opera classics to coincide with the launch of the new album “Christmas With Belle Voci”.

Emily Burnett & Sophie Rohan - Belle Voci - will be performing at St Peter & St Paul’s Church in Clare, Suffolk.

Emily is the niece of Suffolk’s well known bookseller Kate Harris and has, before the duo were discovered by the public on BBC1’s The Voice, entertained local opera and book fanatics with “Concerts on the Stairs” in Kate’s tiny High Street bookshop Harris & Harris.

From the live finals of The Voice, under Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson’s mentoring, to Wembley Stadium, Alfie Boe, international award nominations and their first full album release, 2018 has been quite a year for this astonishing operatic duo from Chester.

Belle Voci, Italian for ‘beautiful voices’, comprises of Emily Burnett and Sophie Rohan who trained individually and have both performed internationally in solo concerts, full opera performances and musical theatre productions, as well as having appearances on BBC radio and various television broadcasts.

Emily and Sophie joined forces in January 2015 when working at a local Cheshire pub. Emily was a chef and Sophie a waitress; it was not long before they both discovered their love of opera and classical-crossover and decided to bring it to audiences far and wide. They are determined to share and present their innovative view of opera, bringing with them their unique take, and do away with the stereotypes of the past.

Since their success on The Voice the duo now have representation with CAA and have since sung live on BBC 1 at the Challenge Cup Final and at the FA Community Shield both at Wembley Stadium. They recently sang with Alfie Boe in his show at Scarborough Open Air Theatre and have performances booked in Monte Carlo, Dubai, Jordon and many more all next year.

Tickets, priced at £10, are available from Harris & Harris Bookshop, High Street, Clare on 01787 277267.
