Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival 2020

Start Date: 29 August 2020
Start Time: 2pm
End Date: 29 August 2020

The Apex, Bury St Edmunds

Following the success of the first year, Solid Entertainments are pleased to announce the second annual Bury St Edmunds Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival at The Apex.

The bands confirmed so far are...

Kyla Brox

Blues and soul become inextricably entwined in award-winning singer-songwriter, Kyla Brox, whose raw talent has seen her described as “the finest female blues singer of her generation”. Winner of the 2018 UK Blues Challenge, Kyla has the honour of representing the UK in Memphis at the 2019 International Blues Challenge, as well as the European event in the Azores.

Jimmy Regal and the Royals

A tough and howlin' blues three piece, Jimmy Regal and the Royals, features harmonica, guitar and drums. Their heady mix of blues rhythms and styles will grab your attention.

The Ryk Mead Band

The Ryk Mead Band are indeed a blues band, but by definition a lot more - they are a stunning power blues, jazz and rock trio. Guitar virtuoso, Ryk Mead heads up the band. He started a gigging career in the late 60s and has built a reputation on solid experience, gained alongside artists such as Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Annie Lennox, Alison Moyet, The Pretty Things and Steve Waller (Manfred Man's Earth Band).

The Cinelli Brothers

The Cinelli Brothers is a project born out of a common passion for the electric Chicago and Texas blues from the 60s and 70s, when brothers Marco (guitarist and lead singer) and Alessandro (drummer) decided to form an explosive team showcasing original repertoire in the style of Chess, Stax and Motown.

Tickets: Early bird (limited to first 200 tickets) £26, Advance £28, On the day £31. Available from the website above.

This event is promoted by The Apex together with Solid Entertainments.
