Clare Castle Country Park (Starts from the Old Goods Shed)

A guided walk around the Park, taking in the key built and natural heritage, and the recent improvements to the Park made possible by a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant.

The walk will include the recently refurbished Old Goods Shed, the top of the motte, the moat, the inner and outer baileys, new interpretative features like a nature trail and model railway, the railway walk and the new cut of the River Stour.

It will also incorporate a visit to the archaeological dig that will be taking place in the inner bailey.

This event forms part of Clare Castle Country Park (CCCP) Heritage Open Days.

-Parking at CCCP is £2 all day.

-Suitable for accompanied children aged 10 and above.

-The main elements of the walk are wheelchair accessible but some parts e.g the top of the motte and the railway walk will not be possible.
