Robert Halliday: Ghost Story Writers of Suffolk
Start Date: 26 October 2017
Start Time: 12.00pm
End Date: 26 October 2017
End Time: 1.00pm

Oakes Barn, St Andrew's Street South, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3PH

Popular local author, lecturer and historian, Robert tells us about the ghost stories inspired by Bury St. Edmunds and surrounding villages, as well as the supernatural influences that inspired these tales.

The talk covers local folklore and traditions, and deals with some little known authors whose work is still of great interest.

Robert will also discuss the son of the Rector of Great Livermere, and a true Suffolk man, the celebrated M.R. James, perhaps the most important of all English ghost story writers. Tickets £5 are available from the website above.
