Bury St Edmunds Guildhall will be holding a series of talks about the Abbey of St Edmund as part of the Abbey 1000 celebrations in 2022.

Each will explore different aspects of The Guildhall's tumultuous relationship with the Abbey. The talks will be around an hour long, presented by professional actors in costume, bringing to life events and voices from history.

Fleeces to Philanthropy - Tuesday June 21

Discover the remarkable story of Jankyn Smyth, a man from the Medieval era whose legacy of good works is still making a difference in Bury St Edmunds today. 

Tickets will cost £15, which includes a drink before the talk in the Guildhall gardens. Doors will open at 6:30pm with the talk starting at 7pm.
