Learn about the monastic life of Melford Hall from the foundation of Melford Hall, as a holding of Emma of Normandy given to the Abbey of St Edmund up until Abbot Reeve and the Dissolution of the Monasteries. 

This tour takes the visitor through the early history of Melford Hall and its connections to Bury St Edmunds – and some of the stories associated with the Hall. 

Tours are FREE with standard admission to National Trust Melford Hall. Limited numbers. See admission prices at the website above.
